Minto Mine Reclamation Works

• Responsible for Excavation, relocation and placement of High-grade Stockpile from Waste Dumps and Overburden Dumps to Ore pits.
• Placement of suitable material at re-graded slopes to provide maximum slope stability by reducing slope angles.
• Building safety berms and work benches for heavy equipment for safe operations.
• Establish drainage swales around newly built access roads to mitigate wash outs and erosion.
• Re-grading landforms in an aesthetically pleasing and safe manner consistent with surroundings.
• Relocation of unsuitable material for cover placement to designated areas as indicated by the Owner.
• Secured access to open pits and placing appropriate road signage wherever possible.
• Maintained haul roads across the mine and build new access roads wherever required.
• Responsible for constructing drainage channels across borrow sources to ensure positive drainage.
• Restored land to adjacent pre-mining conditions to achieve restoration of land.
• Coordinated testing of potential acid generating sources prior to placement of cover.
• Reclamation of old infrastructure, underground portals, de-commissioned pipelines and equipment.
• Scarifying abandoned corridors and roads so that natural vegetation can be established.
• Proper on-site disposal of construction debris and abandoned materials/equipment.
• Responsible for test pits for Owner’s Engineers to test for acid generating sources.
• Preserving water courses and wetlands at borrow/placement areas for environmental sustainability.
• Performed daily Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA’s), Safe work practices (SWP’s), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and daily safety meetings toolbox to ensure safety of property and personnel.
• Provided Owner with daily updates on project through daily progress reports, LEMS, site pictures, inspections, site progress, site improvements, cost management and tracking, work permits, schedule delivery and on-site support to site services as well as Owner’s Engineer and all third parties involved.
• Ensuring safety is top priority when it comes to Mine Reclamation activities and daily operations.
